Napland

Thursday 4th January 2024

Despite the bruised sternum, I slept well through the night, and then napped a lot today. I didn't know that I was this tired. Fortunately I have this opportunity to catch up on sleep and that includes my daytime naps.

We went out a bit later this morning but still caught the tail end of the pink clouds. My leg felt fine but I knew I couldn't run with this chest pain so managed to walk about 4km mostly up and down the dog park. I walked past the site where I fell and my legs did feel a bit trembley. But I knew it was simply a matter of post trauma and it began to feel neutral after the third walk by.

The small dam still has the sewage issue so I managed to avoid going too close to it. I feel sorry for the people that live alongside the stream because there's no escape from that pong.

A lot of the Christmas decorations have been taken down and I felt a little sad about that, not that I saw them much in the dark. The festive season draws to a close this weekend with most people going back to work on Monday. I thought about how fortunate I am to be flexible like this and not dread any days of the week anymore.

It's been a great time to fill my mind with TV series, games, dog walks and delicious naps and I'm very close to dream land now too. Zzzzz
