Moving around

Thursday 15th February 2024

I forgot about loadshedding because my sister Mary has a solar power system. My other sister, doesn't. And I moved today , so now I'm sitting in DC light, with 23% phone battery life, hoping that my data signal is strong enough to send this out tonight, haha.

I started out the day in the west side of the city. It was nice waking up with people in the house and Mary has always been a very positive morning person. I left them with the animals and I went another short run in the hills with my friend. The sun was cooking up to be a full powered 32°C but fortunately a cool breeze swept around us on the run.

Then it was packing time. Again I realised how quickly I can accumulate stuff, especially if I'm not traveling on public transport. My excess clothing was an attempt to empty the wardrobe at Debbie's and take it all on my road trip. But the lack of a car and now flying to the Cape means I have to get clever and minimise.

After sorting out all out later at Debbie's, I was roasting hot so went for a dip in the pool. It's a touch colder than Mary's pool as there's more shady trees overhead but it was very refreshing. Molly the JR terrier played with the splashes which helped cool her down enough to be able to go for a short walk a while later.

I got too engrossed in a series this evening hence the reason for my now 21% battery life..so a good time to end here.

And no pics are uploading... sorry!
