Monday movies

I woke up to rather heavy rain and had a mild panic about walking to my train at 11.25am.  Fortunately the sun came out after I'd packed and it was a lovely walk up to the area where I'd stayed at, on my arrival in London in May. It feels so long ago.

My train trip was pleasant and I was thrilled to be meeting up with Sharon and her husband Dave. Sharon was my older sister's friend who I'd last seen many,  many years ago. Facebook brought us back together and now I'm lying in her spare bedroom.  I will always be grateful for the internet for these communication connections . She lives in the Kent area and I was planning on visiting her before my tooth saga grounded me. But there's so much to catch up, this timing is far better now because we have more time together. 

There was a film crew a block away from her house so we popped down to see what the fuss was about. I was very chuffed to see it was 'Dr Nikki' from 'Silent Witness' getting out of a car. The film set looked great and I was a little star-struck although we kept our distance.  The 'actor cop' was pointing his finger at us behind the set but we just laughed.

We took a walk along the beach area and I was impressed with the friendly dogs. Particularly 2 puppies that came bounding over to say hello. The  Thames River Bay looked lovely and it was a pleasant walk back up the hill to Sharon's house.
