After my rather stationary weekend, I woke up feeling ready to resume adventures. It helped that the sun was full blast and monkeys had run on my roof for the first time to wake me up way before 6am. Standing in my kitchen, I had to take photos, and amazed at their adaptability to suburban life, considering we are in their territory.
Listening to the local radio on route to my run on the far end of the promenade, I heard them talk about strong winds and 2 meter high waves. However, the sea was very choppy and I didn't see the huge waves. Mind you, I struggled to see anything properly because I kept my eyes slitted to try keep the sand out. I ran along the new portion of the promenade and it was a lot quieter than the recent holidays. I did see a couple of local familiar faces which prompted me into thinking about how long I have been here. It's almost half way of my three month stint and the demarcation of weeks and days has eased off somewhat. I did my history/trivia skit beside the harbour entrance and I was fortunate enough to have a ship sail past while I was 'live'.
I spotted the university tower on my drive to see my dad and I realised my list to explore is getting longer in spite of doing many things. I love the Point area and am considering renting a bnb for a night to experience the other side of the city. But that will have to wait for a couple of weeks to organize, my budget is taking strain - much like my legs against the wind this morning, lol!
