Monday maintenance

Monday 30th January 2023

I can tell when I haven't left the house in the day because my camera 'reel' is empty, lol. So it's animals and food today!

I needed a day of introverting due to all the amazing stimulation I had yesterday on the Soweto tour. I needed to process it all and let it settle.

The heatwave broke last night and this morning felt comfortably cool. Just right for a later run. Molly was ready for it and I wore long sleeves. The traffic was also quieter being after 7am. I didn't have any new ideas on my run which was disappointing because it distracts my mind from what my body is required to do. I thought about all the things that are still needing completion and after a couple of long phone calls with some friends, after my shower, I sat down and did some computer work.

One of my loose goals this year is to self-publish a book a month, just to see if I can. I have a lot of incomplete work and it's time I knuckle down and sort it all out. My usual sabotage style of behaviour is trying to decide which 'platform' to work with and then it takes me hours of research to figure out what is suitable. Result? Nothing gets done.

Today I realised that the 'buy me a coffee' platform is one that works for me.  They've recently adjusted things to making it more accommodating for my use. But there was a payment issue and I think that's why I stopped looking at it, a while back. I'm working through the details but I'm confident that by tomorrow- being month end, I will have a book uploaded!

Roll on February!
