Cars and rain. Yip, the theme of my life currently. Today my sister's car cut out on me while turning a corner and yes, I did have the engine running. Fortunately I got it going again after taking the key out a few times. But I did have a flash of panic while obstructing the traffic and not getting the gearstick to move at all. The journey back from the hairdresser was without any issues apart from the really heavy rain causing deep streams along the roads.

We'd arranged a pizza night with the running girls and it was lovely. We celebrated Marlene passing her law school and Cerlest getting her second degree. My sister had bought me a very thoughtful Christmas present of a 'Comrades Marathon brick' on the wall of remembrance. The idea is small plaques with our name and race number on it after the successful completion of the 90km road race. I was so moved by the gift, I cried. So for the two ladies Christmas/birthday/successes, we bought them both a brick too. It was wonderful watching them open the confirmation letter and then their realisation at what they were reading.

The pizzas went down well and the small glass of champagne went straight to my head. I'm not really a drinker but I do have a spot of champers on occasion. I'm surprised I can even write this tonight, haha..

Cheers darling!
