The locals have been raving about the Saturday morning market and advised me to go so I did. I got there around 8am and was surprised by how many people were already eating food whike sitting on little wooden tree stumps like mushrooms in a forest. I wandered around the farm stalls and realised how cheap the produce seemed. If I was inclined to cook I may have even purchased something but well...
After a sit down with a sparkling water drink, I realised that it was still very early so opted to go back into knysna as well as fill my tank. The Knysna Heads are stunning and the water is strong and unpredictable, yet I don't seem to be as drawn to the sea as I am along the Durban coastline. It's almost as if my head keeps darting back to land and mountains or lagoons. The history of the town is interesting and I plan to go exploring a bit more on Monday because it's a lot older than Johannesburg.
I drove across to the 'Island' part and admired some of the stunning homes. One thing that I have always enjoyed about the Cape is the variety of homes styles. There are far more wooden homes than inland and I can spend a long time looking at that. I spotted the perfect background for taking some pictures of my lovely car but got very surprised by how much stronger the wind was on that side of the island.
Pretty good weather for sailing, I suppose!
