Loose plans

Waking up to a pink patch of sky made me think there was fair weather ahead. By the time I had run my first km to meet my friend the cloud had come in and started to grey everything up. It turned out to be a refreshing but damp run and I was fascinated with the digger clearing the sand. I had no idea a beach would need so much maintenance.

After my warm shower, I pondered my plans for the day. I thought that an interior option would be ideal but I had driven past a tourist bus so found out their details online. By the time I arrived the sun had come out so I had to take a walk along the pier to experience the different mood of the sea. I always feel slightly intimidated on piers, as if I am intruding into the ocean without any of the work it would take to swim in it. The tour bus was almost a no go because it needed 4 people minimum but filled up to 16.

A bus trip offers a higher view which is always fabulous and the 3 hour tour went quickly despite the rain spoiling the last hour slightly. Now, there's even more attractions to see, the list is getting longer...
