Today the temperature dropped and I was grumpy. Constructive but grumpy. Wearing layers of clothes inside the house makes me feel like the Michelin man. So I am really looking forward to the spring.

One of my plans for my nomadic life is to see as much of South Africa as possible. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled very extensively in my twenties in my old job for the TV broadcaster. However I wasn't as conscious of my surroundings as I now am, plus I was scared.

Of everything.

I was just really, really good at hiding it.

Today I had a brain wave. I'm going to be like Billy.

Billy Connolly.

I'm going to do a World Tour of South Africa.

I know that sounds rather crazy, but it feels right. Even with interprovincial leisure travel being prohibited by lockdown. Sometimes the best stories are in my neighbourhood.

Game on!
