Leaves

Sunday 27th March Another morning with an unknown sunrise.  I'm enjoying feeling the light from different directions in the different bnbs in the city. I'm still a little surprised by not getting tired of the moving and packing and looking for my next suburb. Spending my adult life in the same house and suddenly not knowing where I'm going from week to week is quite a contrast.  Don't get my wrong, I probably won't stay a nomad forever but right now I'm still enjoying it.

Today I met some dear friends for lunch on the east side of town. Normally this takes a good 40 minute drive from the west, but from my central location it was a quick 20 minute drive over one of the oldest (and shortest) mountain passes,  Sylvia's Pass. My Smartie was groaning a bit and I did have to keep my eyes peeled for potholes that would send me into the center of the earth.

The houses on route are a mix of mansions, modern, heritage and scruffy but all very new for me.

On the road back my Google maps took me over a very strange route and I am convinced that I had never been in those areas before. Coming off the highway to my current suburb, the autumn trees were begging to be acknowledged. I had to pull off to take a photo.  The leaves line the wider roads and I drove past my bnb to see where the road ends. Also an unusual characteristic of my nomadic side as I would never drive new roads if not required.  Anxiety really stopped my adventurous spirit when I was young. But at least now, I am exploring the 'ends of my street' lol.
