It's a cool summer...

Wednesday 15th June 2022 Today felt like a real summers day and I even had my 'shirts' on. By shorts, I actually mean my calf length jeans.  But I did run with a short sleeve tshirt on and was grateful for the shade on the 3km route.  Angie and I had set out rather late for our jog and we turned off the neat pavements into the wooded pathway. The birds seem to sing really loud along these wilder bits and we saw a dog walker with her 5 charges. They took the steeper path along the stream and we opted for the milder path. My brother in law had mentioned a reservoir being drained and that many birdlife had vanished and is now an empty hole. Our path took us along this reservoir and it is such a pity that it's no longer full. The afternoon saw us sitting in a Starbucks while Angie's car was being tested by a  great guy at the Halfords. The cappuccino was surprisingly good. It was considerably cooler when I stepped outside in my tshirt and sandals and regretted not picking up my sweater.  Lesson learned.  Always bring a top layer, lol!
