I can see clearly now...

Updated: Apr 22, 2023

Friday 21st April 2023

I woke at 5.30am and realised that I'd slept through and was super excited to watch the sky glow change before I had to dash to the loo. My day was busy and constructive starting with seeing the dermatologist who burnt my facial sun spots and took a tiny sample of one area for tests. I last saw this specific doctor in 1997. I gasped when I heard the date. So many people were still alive then was my first response.

Life is short and fascinating.  I've had a dodgy screen protector on my folding phone for months so today decided it was time to replace it. The silicone warps at the center bend which means all my photos and text were obscured. I didn't realise how nice it is to see a clear screen, haha. It feels like I have a new phone!

I was thinking how this metaphor of warbled glass affected my vision.  It's much like life, sometimes the vision is distorted from different angles,  however change the angle and the same picture appears, only clearer. It's like other people viewing your problems with a clear perspective and see solutions,  however the warbled screen is the emotional state. My life felt a little hazy this past few months,  with no clear focus of direction.  I have been a little concerned about finances but stepping away from the emotion of worry got me coming up with ideas and solutions. Ironically most of those solutions involve the use of this small magical device, which now has a crystal clear screen! Abracadabra!
