I can see clearly now..

Wednesday 21st December 2022

Mid summer. Solstice day. I used to feel sad at this mid point because it meant that we would be heading towards winter in the southern hemisphere, now I'm fine with the date because I don't want to pre-empt negatively.  Plus I'm currently a migratory bird who follows the warmer seasons.

The air was damp and cool when I woke up and the drive to my sister's work reminded me I needed new windscreen wiper blades. After a few appointments, I headed to a nearby car spares shop and replaced the blades. I had no idea how easy it could be, nor did I really know how bad my old wipers were. An afternoon rain shower on my way back from my massage, I tried the new pair out and I had my eyes wide in amazement.

I can see,  I can see!!

Perhaps it's a metaphor for where I am in my life right now. I just need to put my internal wipers on to clear away the oily muck that has slowed everything down and to trust in the magic that is right in front of my eyes.
