Heavy petting

I woke up early and just in time to see the most wonderful sunrise and clouds spill orange light over the horison. Of course I had to grab a snap but managed to dose until 6a when Lady Sophie meowed from the bathroom.

The morning turned cooler and rain started around lunchtime which made the far hills disappear.  The landscape is always changing having watched it for the last four days, it convinced me that when I settle down, I definitely need a view. That doesn't seem likely in the immediate future so for now I'm enjoying the scenery changes as I travel around.

Molly the dog was very happy to see me when I got back to my sister's  house, so we played ball a bit in the early evening.  The cat Emily, seemed pleased to see me too but that's difficult to discern because she is known to lash out very cat-like when least expected.

Thunder rumbles like a lead singer in a band while the crickets play percussion in the background.  Summer sounds of the Highveld.
