It poured all night and most of today which left it rather chilly so I was wearing my UK clothes again. I had some errands to do before I drove over to Melville for my hair appointment. Melville is a trendy small suburb which goes through many cycles of being 'in' then 'out'. Right now it seems to be in an 'out' phase.
The roads were very wet so I drove slowly and carefully. But I did take a photo from my car of the invisible Northcliff hill. While I was at the salon there was a deluge of a downpour and I thought my car might end up being swept away in the river of water that was going under it. Fortunately it stayed put, patiently waiting for my freshly coloured, tinted, cut and dried head to make an appearance.
My hairdresser loves Christmas so it was fun seeing all her decorations.
I never visited a hair salon in the UK. I just couldn't get myself to spend so many pounds on the treatments that I wanted. So my hairdresser had to really take her time to sort out the 'damage'. Three hours later the sun came out and I drove home on the glistening roads dodging new potholes, fallen trees and deep secretive puddles.
After a quick dog walk, the light drizzle returned and I made some tasty chicken wraps. My sister asked what's wrong with me with all this cooking but I'm quite enjoying it, for now. I like the kitchen idea after the weeks of Travelodges without a fridge. I wonder what I'll feel like making tomorrow? Haha.
