Glens of eagles

Thursday 21st July 2022

I woke up feeling much better! In fact,  I forgot to switch last week Thursday's 4am alarm off, so I was confused when it went off but relieved that I felt better. I set off with my friend to the OB trucks which are parked in a far off corner the Gleneagles Golf course.  I spent most of the day in this area, apart from a fun buggy drive just after a midday break.

There were some beautiful moments when a tiny bird and I, eyed each other up. Having it hop on my path reminded me of the bigger picture in all of this, a small cog of a massive wheel.  I then really looked into the brush behind the trucks and smiled at the hills in the background as they changed mood with the weather.

The hardest part of doing this stand-in unexpected work, is not knowing my place. Today it was again a case of hurry up and wait. Although I am not as shy to help out now, I still don't want to tread on any toes or egos.  The two gents today were great though and I managed to sit quietly close to the bathroom which fortunately I didn't have any emergency runs to.

We finished the day late and managed a quick bite of supper across from the hotel. I had really yummy haggis again and I wondered if it would heal or hamper my tummy.  But so far so good.

Three full days left! Yippee
