Two weeks

Two good friends on holiday

It's strange to think that they are here and then going back, but it reminds me of appreciating this time. I certainly am not a local yet, which showed itself while not using Google maps and then having to go round a big block again due to one way streets that changed since 1984.

This morning was fabulous seeing so many people on the beachfront at 7.30am to run/cycle/swim/fish/surf. The wind was rather fresh blowing off the berg and I was grateful to have brought a fleece for our outdoor breakfast at my 'local'. The local is local to very many locals too though because I had a 10 minute wait in the queue to place the order.

Tomorrow hopefully the locals will be back at work and I won't have to wait as long. The benefits of working online for myself. Wait- did I just say 'work'? Hahahaha.
