Friday joy

Friday 2nd September 2022

I woke up laughing and singing in my dream which I promptly forgot but it was a nice way to wake up. Plus the sun was shining so I decided to venture out for a run around the cemetery.

Unfortunately my legs were protesting more than the refuse collectors during the Edinburgh Festival.  I ended up walking more than running.  I was about 1km from my sister's, when a lady asked me for directions.  Apart from struggling with her accent,  then to figure out if I knew where she was talking about,  I then started gesturing with my left hand towards the right direction but kept telling her to go left.  It was in fact wrong. Completely wrong. Fortunately I don't think she believed a word because of my accent but I had a giggle after I left them when I realised my error.

I bumped into my brother in law  and my furry niece who was extremely excited to spot me in the dog park. I had that romantic movie moment when the dog came bounding up to see me. I love it. For months I've been trying to catch dogs-in -parks eyes but to no avail, so today's moment filled me up with canine glee.

The rest of the day was extremely mellow which was much appreciated by my lead legs.
