Friday fun

Friday 16th February 2024

I ended up having a busy day today with a trip to the hairdresser. I love it when I find a hair stylist that I feel totally comfortable with. The salon is noisy, busy and fun. I just sit in the chair and get brought coffee and have my style decided on. I've been going to Melissa since 2015 which is almost a decade!

It was another scorcher of a day and I was tasked with finding a 4 slice toaster for a friend's birthday. I was in and out the shops and was very grateful for air-conditioning. It's the kind of weather that finally makes Woolworths a comfortable walk through. I eventually found the perfect bread burner and I made my way back to my sister's house. Molly was hoping to get a walk but it was too hot.

My friend's birthday dinner started at 5pm because, well we're all older now. It was at a popular restaurant and bar over a small man made dam. It was fascinating watching hundreds of birds fly in for the night to perch on branches. I watched a couple of herons chase each other territorially and a family of ducks made their way to a little island. The conversation was nice, the steak great and I was home by 8.30am

Off to the airport tomorrow, so my blogs might be a little thin hahaha. Exciting times.
