Friday 18th March 2022

Today was mostly an admin day although I did find myself wandering around the large mall with my eyes just as large because it all felt so alien. A far cry from the dusty street of the spaza shops of the Karoo. I was visiting my bank and as surprised by how busy it seemed and then I remembered it's school holidays.

I also had a visit to my doctor who put ointment in my eye, turned off the lights to see the strange yellow liquid shine out like a demon. He gave me a mirror to watch. It highlighted my blue hair with yellow eyes, lol! I think I might have rubbed some Karoo dust to scratch it, or it might even be stardust from Sutherland.

It all feels like so long ago, until I have to search for a photo and suddenly all the blue sky pictures start reminding me of such a special time. I immediately had to take a photo of the sunset to remind myself that there is beauty everywhere if you turn your (non gunky) eyes to it.
