Fishy Friday

Friday 10th June 2022 The sun cracked the horizon early again so I had to snap a picture on route to the bathroom. My bedroom was roasting by 6.30am and I couldn't work out how to open the double glazed windows. So I waited until my sister was up and about to show me the intricacies.

The sunshine meant that I could have my laundry sun-dried too, which was great.  I looked at my minimalist wardrobe on the clothes line and felt surprised that I'm not tired of the same clothes yet. I had the similar feeling of not needing 'home stuff' when we walked around some shops later in the day. There is so much choice here and all very reasonably priced so the lack of 'I need to buy this' felt unusual.

The bookshop, however had me giddy with excitement and my brain was trying to convince me that there must be space in my rucksack for a bargain book or three. Reason prevailed and the shelf remains intact. The lack of purchase was also reinforced by leaving my purse and cards back in my other handbag.  Perhaps a subconscious tactic by my economist brain?

A Friday fish and chips finished off a fine day.
