Femily Friday

Friday 17th November 2023

I woke at 4am and then the thoughts popped in my head. Not worrying thoughts, just busy thoughts. Thoughts of London, future travels, mixed up dates, running, you name it- I thunk it! Sigh. Eventually I realised that South Africa was awake so I picked up my phone.

My sister had some work at the school to do invigilating, so we decided to pop to the shops beforehand. The sun is so sharp in the unusual angle that I haven't seen in the UK in the middle of November. My sister was wearing her sunglasses and I had my ski jacket on (again!) The shops seemed busy as everyone seemed to be looking at the Christmas selections. I'm still amazed at the variety of things here, but I still won't be buying many gifts for anyone. I might get my future dogsit, Rusty, a Christmas treat but he'll have to be a good boy, lol

Speaking of good boys, my Tall great nephews popped round after school and their mum brought Friday doughnuts. It's so nice watching these young lads and I managed to demand a hug on arrival. I was honoured to get some. The older one is doing Mock exams, and I saw his handwriting for the first time. I was impressed by how neat it was. I know, I'm weird like that.
