Last night, the domestic pet situation shifted. I had both creatures in my bedroom. The dog has been the regular, but the cat has stayed with my sister since I moved in. Last night I woke up with a start. The cat was walking over my body. A sudden memory of a Thai massage in Dubai years ago, when I was asked mid -massage

'Should I wok on you?'

Not quite understanding, I realised a few moments later what those metal pipes across the ceiling were for. For the masseuse to hold on while she walked over my now very sore back.

Fortunately the cat weighs about 50kg less than my masseuse but I still did get a fright mid-dream.

I woke up again feeling watched. And yes, there she sat, about 10cm from my nose, purring. That felt a lot stranger than the walkover.

I must just add that I am not allergic to this cat. Every other one on the planet gave me instant itchy eyes and wheezing chest, and some didn't even have to be in the same room for my system to know.

Emily is non allergic.

On sunrise, she still sat there, poised over me, as if she went with my into my dream realm. Poor cat, my dreams are on the crazy side.
