Fascinations...

It was strange getting up this morning with no definite time plan for my beach walk. It's interesting how quickly a routine can take hold and having met my friend for the past 9 mornings at the promenade, I did feel a little bit lost with him returning inland. But I got quickly busy with a podcast and sorted myself in time to drive to the beachfront. It was windy and cool and I parked at a different place and ran a different way.

There are so many things to see and explore and of course, the questions just continue. I have always had an enquiring mind and I realised today that I might not get all the answers but I am very happy with more questions. I caught myself thinking 'fascinating' while watching the river meet the sea and a thousand questions bubbled in my brain as I started my hard slog into the wind. David Bowie's song lyrics

'Strange fascinations

Fascinate me...' crossed my mind.

And I hummed the song for a bit while hoping the wind wouldn't change direction for my return stretch. It didn't, so my return miles were faster with mother nature beneath my wings.

Some rain is on the cards for the next few days so I'm not sure how the running will go but at least there are lots of thoughts and projects to keep me busy.
