Eleven th

It was one of those lovely days that took a sharp downward twist.

I picked up my running 'wife' to go walk in the Wilds which is a rejuvenated nature reserve in the middle of the city. The sun was bright, the air was pleasantly cool and we took a wander around the cobblestone pathways.

Some of the paths are rather steep and we bumped into a lovely group of Wise Wildies who walk every Tuesday in the park (weather permitting). One of my friends spotted me and asked me to do an impromptu talk about my Durban adventure and I obliged. It was fun standing up in public doing a quick story and it was a good Kickstart into my old love of public speaking.

Marlene and I stopped off for a good breakfast at the Mike's kitchen nearby and had a nice catch up in the Heritage building.

Unfortunately I got a call that my dad has deteriorated rapidly and the priest had been to give him last rites. So now the family sits in limbo and none of us children are near him, so it's a matter of waiting.

My World Tour is also on pause for now, so if I suddenly go quiet you will understand. Although your silent audience is calming for my spirit.
