After sleeping quite well, and super chuffed that the fan stayed on all night, I went for a run with my sister. I dictated most of the walking gaps but I still think I ran outside my comfort zone. It was also rather warm by the time we started. I took Molly for an extra walk around the block and I was feeling really bushed by the time I got back.
I think my year of galavanting, impromptu trips, short term plans and different beds might just be catching up with me. Or maybe it's the accumulative stress of everyone rushing towards the holidays, dealing with loadshedding, price hikes, and end of year energy. Nevertheless I was tired and I didn't have an afternoon nap like I've had the past few days. Instead I popped out to the shops which were quiet being the week before Christmas. I filled my car up with petrol and finally got the oil sorted. It was thirsty- needing 3 and half litres!
Fortunately the power stayed and we still got excited being able to switch the kettle on. We cooked some food from the 2 day defrosting freezer and I'm busy finishing reading my novel. A big storm broke and it has cooled the air a bit.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with my school friends which is always fun. Domestic life continues for now and it's giving me a chance to rest.
