Today was certainly other people's dogs day. I woke up to Molly having a bad dream so I decided to take her out for a walk. It was a lovely morning and I only saw 4 other people on the whole 5km. Molly was quite excited so we managed to jog most of the last two kilometers. She was certainly unimpressed when she saw me packing my bags. The saddest look coupled with her sad swagger tugged my heart strings as I was locking up to leave.
Rusty was very pleased to see me today as I arrived at my new 'home' for the next three weeks. I spent most of the day watching the thrilling series called 'Hijack'. It was rather tense but I do like Idris Elba as an actor. Rusty started making 'walk' noises around 3pm but it was way too early and hot so I managed to stall him. This will be my third Christmas season in this small housing estate and it has been interesting seeing the renovations of some of the original mine style houses. We walked the 'long' way round to the dog park and smiled at some of the Christmas decorations on the pavements and houses. Rusty is such an easy dog and he's so obedient on the lead. His good friend wasn't in the park but there was one smaller dog who he had a little romp with.
I may be woken up by his 5am alarm clock again so I'm having an early night.
