Delayering

I might have made that word up, because what I am doing is not decluttering. It's stripping back the layers of the cocoon I have created for the past few years. I'm glad to be doing this on a gradual basis because I can keep monitoring myself and my emotions. ( Because I am like that) And I'm pleased to report so far, so good.

I started packing the formal clothes that haven't seen the outside of my cupboard for many moons due to lockdown and well, life in the 20's really and I don't think they will be used at the coast either. Unless of course, the world shifts and I get a job on a cruise line or something, hahahaha!

Tomorrow I give leave of one of my favourite items, a gigantic TV. It's returning to it's owner and the situation dictates that it has to go now and not at the end of the month. I wasn't quite ready to let it go today, so I started admiring it from late afternoon to build up for the big goodbye. Well written TV shows are sometimes the only means to make my overthinking stop as I get absorbed in the story and watch for great shots and good wigs.

But for the next while I plan on listening to podcasts and making my own, and doing different things without my 55" friend. But still, some things are harder to let go of ;)
