Daytime writing?

This is bit out of my routine writing today's blog, today instead of tonight but I am in a place with very limited signal so I thought I would sneak a write up.

I had a good night's sleep on the farm in Barrydale and this morning bonded with the resident dog (and owner). A farmer, I could never be. The work doesn't stop and I need my Netflix binge days.

I drove past some stone houses which are magnificent and some other lovely buildings. The mountain backdrop is breathtaking too but I was holding my breath while driving up the narrow road through the pass from Montagu.

After living so long in a 'young' city like Johannesburg, I still get excited seeing early 1800s written on buildings. I walked up and down a few streets clicking away and was greeted cheerfully by everybody.

Montagu has a big KWV cellars, and I saw a few vineyards on my road too. Fortunately I don't like wine, otherwise you might not be hearing from me ever again. The heat was tolerable today and I only noticed the gauge at a 'cool' 32°C.

I'm in the Karoo 1 village now, hence the sketchy internet. I'm hoping that the temperatures drop this evening because my initial room that I was given had aircon but then power was restored to my 'original' booking and I had to move. This new room has no aircon nor fan! Wish me luck
