Tuesday 10th May 2022 The week of catch up goodbyes started with seeing two dear friends today. One planned,  the other a quick spontaneous coffee.  It's strange to think that I am going to be so far away in a completely different environment yet still be connected via the world wide web.

How different my travel world is, now that friendships can continue across the waters and those bonds were reinforced with lockdown. It shifted the dynamic of friendships and I will always be grateful for that. I love meeting people in person but it's just as important as connecting by voice, or even text. Even you, dear reader, making sense of these dots on a screen makes the world of difference to me. A one-sided connection via this blog, but knowing that some people still read it is greatly appreciated. It keeps me accountable to my day, my way of reflection and then deciding what to spill onto the screen.  It also keeps me conscious of making every day a new story. A collection of short stories, a book...a life. Thanks for reading x
