Catch ups

Monday 6th February 2023

Today I went to a place that I had never been to before and met with my friend who'd introduced me to badminton in the early 2000's. She's been living in the Cape for a few years and we had a lot to catch up on.

The venue is called the Syringa coffee shop and is on a plot which reminded me of early years of the Lifestyle premises. There a small nursery too and a recycled book library,  some animals and I saw a trendy style gym. I'd gotten there a bit early so took a wander around.

The menu was quite varied and the prices were reasonable. I need my food to be piping hot, but I was taking do much and my breakfast was cold. The hours zoomed past and I got back to my sister's place not long before she got back from work.

Sometimes it's nice to hear myself explain the last few years because it is a great reminder for gratitude,  plus it's a sped up perspective.  She's not on Facebook and we rarely message each other so she didn't know much about my life. It made me sit down and write up some project ideas. I was busy doing that when I thought I should side step and get today's blog done.
