Cars , cars, cars...

Thursday 11th January 2024

I seem to be having a bit of an unusual time with cars lately. Today I tried my sister's car again and I got stuck in the driveway...

My Smartie was being repaired and I was making my way to my massage. It was pouring with rain, and my sister's gate motor is kaput so had to open the gate manually. I then had all sorts of crazy things happen. It wouldn't go into gear, couldn't get the handbrake off, and I just sat there in the rain until Nic arrived to help. Ahem.... turns out I hadn't actually started the car's engine... argh!!! This we only figured out after my massage though, so I still need to take the car out for a quick test drive around the block.

My drive was fun when I spotted some street art so I had to stop for a pic. I met with my friend who gifted me with some pannetonne. I'd brought the special pearl icing sugar over from the UK, which was a month ago already- wowser! So it was a lovely reason to meet up again before I headed to Lorna for my massage. There were some crunchy shoulder muscles from my fall last week and I did yelp a couple of times.

I'm fortunate to have these amazing people in my life and the luxury of time is something I'm really grateful for too. I try and not take my health, family, friends and life for granted. It truly does go really fast and every day is a gift. Today was a nicely wrapped one, even if I felt like a real blonde with the car story.

Here's a throwback to the King's birthday and skit number 233 back in January 2021.

Have a laugh!
