Today I was on a Rollercoaster. Metaphorically of course, I haven't been on an actual ride in years. I woke bright and early to be in time to walk with my friend which was great and close to my dentist so my early appointment worked out well.
The dentist took about two hours and I left with a rather large temporary crown. The tooth kind, not the jewel kind. I went hunting for my education certificates for my Tour guide registration but couldn't find them. Instead I found my notes for my 11 year old 'new' novel.
The worst thing of the day was noticing that someone had bashed into my car at the small shopping center but many hours afterwards. Quite a nasty bash too. So both my tooth and car are needing some good panelbeating.
I got confirmation of my Christmas date with Rusty, my furry boyfriend from last Christmas. I'm hoping he remembers me as I will be housesitting him.and his feline siblings so that cheered me up too.
So now it's the extra schlep of getting my car sorted but overall I'm still feeling pretty good. Besides, my comforting thought when I start to slip into stress is... 'I won a car' and that reminds me that anything is possible.
