So much excitement!
My City tour was once again fabulous- showcasing rooftop gardens; museums; beautiful buildings; hotels of a bygone era and the buzz of a city that is continually delighting me.
The next dose of fun came when my friend and I drove over to the Point area to spend her last two nights. Her bnb was already booked out for the weekend so we'd found a great deal for 40% discount on a two bedroom two - bathroom apartment. I know I read the blurb of the accommodation but I didn't quite anticipate what a spectacular view of the harbour 7 floors up gives. The discovery of a spiral staircase (which I love) leading up to our very own private splashpool was a sheer delight. Having had a lovely warm day it was great to put my feet in while watching the ships and boats go by.
The weather changed quickly during the sunset and a strong blustery wind made me realise how temperamental coastal weather can be. After an evening walk along the canals to find a light meal, I tried out the jet bath for my weary bones. My first bath since July, and of course as I moved away from the jets, the water squirted far off target. Tired now! Lol
