Bleh, woe is me.

Sunday 3rd September 2023

I woke myself up laughing, but turns out it was more of a choke. My throat seems scratchy and later today my eyes felt hot. I'm disappointed, I've been so healthy this year, okay apart from my feet issues.

But I'm disappointed this time because I'm 5 minutes walk away from the Newcastle Airport right now in a lovely hotel room, and can't relish it. We're off to Belfast in the morning where we'll meet up with our brother. Oh sorry, the 'we' is, my sister Bernadette and I. We're doing a bit of a family tree visit and Dundalk is where some of the 15 great grand relatives lived. I have been looking forward to visiting Ireland, but now my health battery feels like it's running at 30%. I've got lots of vitamins and medicines to help, which reassured me that carting half of SA chemist, 'Dischem' was warranted. However I still feel kinda kak, (the English translation doesn't quite sum it up -poo)

The upside is that I travelled on the Newcastle Metro today which is a first. Plus the weather was sunny and cheerful. I was even down to a short sleeved t-shirt. I still really like the city of Newcastle. I get a thrill when I see those architectural marvels, the bridges. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling chipper, so I didn't take many photos.... then you know I'm off colour, haha.

Hopefully tomorrow I'm back to better health.
