Ammazulu African

After spending at least 17 hours talking with friends and ex neighbours, I set off on a very wet, misty trip to a place of magical beauty.

The Ammazulu Palace is a 5 star guest house, which is very difficult to explain in words. The photos online showed that it was spectacular but when the wooden doors open so did my mouth.

'Wow' is as much as I could muster.

I heard the staff member chuckle.

"I suppose everyone says that" I asked.

He nodded and paused knowing that I needed a moment to catch my breath.

It felt like I had become a piece of art myself. My jaw now so wide open that I was becoming a health hazard under my mask. I signed the client form in a daze and was taken upstairs over a wooden bridge to my room. The room is visually quieter which is possibly a good thing to counterbalance the effect of the passage way/art gallery. High ceilings with lots of space and a particularly large bathroom almost gives my head space to allow all the stimulus in. My own private outside balcony area which won't be used this time due to the mountain mist and Highland rain, opens out to this jungle style plants. Apparently a nature reserve is hiding under the mist and as I write this all the night frogs and sounds confirm the proximity to nature.

Suddenly the wifi signal dropped and my pictures won't upload to this post, but if you want to see some videos I made, you can click here.
