Friday 20th January 2023
I woke up feeling much better and I was very relieved. Molly was on run duty so we set off grateful that it was a little cooler. There was bigger smiles on my fellow road travellers and I think it might have been the Friday feel. I certainly felt it and I got back to see Nic tackle the pool motor again that had sprung another leak. My sister's gardner also arrived so they were busy all morning.
I managed to do some writing editing although I think I was on edge a bit waiting to hear about my car repairs so I decided to pause the creative side. I eventually got the great news that the repairs are under R2000 which is a huge relief and I can collect my car tomorrow. The next good news was that the leak seems fixed, yey!
The afternoon ended with a healthy dose of petrichor ( smell of rain) as the red hot earth sighed with relief with some rain. The cat was buzzing around Nic who was eating tuna and was rewarded with a crumb or two. It's been so hot that I haven't been feeling hungry which is a bit of a surprise. So we had ice cream for dinner, after all it is Friday!
