Another good chunk of sleep last night went down well although I lay awake from 4.30am waiting to hear from Rusty. It was still dark when I got up but seeing that it was my last morning walk I decided to take my camera and catch the sunrise.
I'm sure by now, you, dear readers are aware on my feelings for dogs, lol. Rusty makes it easy to go from small Molly to large dog because he's incredibly gentle. I love watching dogs run off lead in their natural physique. The dog park in the estate is perfect for the Scooby-Doo movements of this gentle pooch. When he kicks his back legs after a sniff/wee, plants can go everywhere. He seems quite partial to kicking out ivy, so I had to keep moving him quickly away and fortunately he listens. I think he sensed I was leaving because when we got back, he immediately went to lie on his bed and seemed sad. He sneaked my sandal to lie beside and then a sock. I left him the sock haha.
After packing and sorting my car, I said my furry goodbyes and went to collect some items I'd ordered a while back. It's amazing driving through different suburbs and suddenly the roads feel familiar. Turns out I've run through them on Edenvale races. Running certainly has made me feel far more comfortable about my teenage fear of getting lost.
I stopped in to collect the pottery that had been fired up at the Clay Cafe and was pleased to see the Prison Break market had a few cars parked up mid-week. They bubble wrapped it tightly and I've left it in my car, so there's no photo as yet.
Back at my sister's, doggie Molly was super excited to see me and we played a lot of ball. As the heat calmed down, I took her out for a short walk around the streets and noticed a few changes in the neighbourhood. The one new extension building has a roof on, the scruffy pavement got mowed, and there was a lot of tree debris on the road from last night's wind storm. I'm appreciating this continuing hot spell because the Autumn light has definitely shifted in. The earth has tilted and we're officially past this equinox.
