I spent most of my day with some friends. The rest of the day was spent waiting for my new phone.
My first meeting with my friend was part technical and part friend but there's always a chance for a photograph.
My next meeting was spur of the moment, in between loadshedding that had delayed my new phone delivery. This friend is one of those who I don't contact regularly but when we are together the reconnection is instant and we never seem to have enough time. She was thrilled to hear about my past few weeks and asked me two questions.
1) What was my favourite thing about my tour so far?
2) How can I afford to live like this?
The first question has no single answer as there have been so many outstanding moments that it all melts into one great experience.
The second question is a little easier to answer in that primarily, I am debt free and I live within my means. I'm still working on building my online income.
This period of being back here right now is giving me a chance to reflect, catch up and assess what works and what I need to change going forward. Hearing myself explain my experiences to my friend was fascinating in that I am acknowledging that I didn't wait for everything to be perfectly in place in order to start this journey. It was definitely a case of saying 'Right, I am doing this ' and the doors seemed to open. I'm waiting for the lottery door to open on me too and then ... well, you can cone with!
