Sunday 12th February 2023
The sun came out so I took Molly out for a longer walk. I was thinking about taking her the full distance of my 5km but I noticed that she was limping a bit so turned in at almost 3km. Surprisingly I wasn't done! I went back out again and took a completely different route and ended up on new roads unrun. Yes, I just made that word up. But I enjoyed my run.
After trying to shower and dry my hair before the morning loadshedding, sister announced she was going to the shops. Particularly Ducathlon, got my attention. So we went out and I wasn't successful in my purchasing but was consoled by going to a Mexican restaurant for lunch.
I'm not great with spicy food so seldom eat Mexican food but I was impressed with the restaurant decor. The food turned out to be yummy so of course it set me off on an internet search for airfares to Mexico. Haha.
I think I am itching to travel again because I was also looking at bnbs out Northern Gauteng and Heidelberg. I'm having to restrain the trips for the moment but I still get excited looking at seeing what nice places are available.
I didn't do any research on my tour at all and I know that tomorrow I'll be feeling refreshed and ready to continue. In the meantime, big thunder rolls rattle the house and the air feels clammy with the humidity. Just yesterday I was curling up under the duvet and now I've had to turn my fan on. Weekend is over and I'm looking forward to new adventures in the week.
